The Seattle Seahawks engineered a stunning fightback to overcome the Los Angeles Rams in extra time, securing their place in the postseason.
Rallying from a 30-14 deficit in the final period, the Seahawks triumphed 38-37 at home, notching their fifth consecutive win.
While the Los Angeles had become the first to earn a post-season spot earlier on Sunday, the Seattle team booked their return to the postseason after a 24-month absence.
With this result, the Seahawks now lead their Conference standings with a twelve and three mark, supplanting the Rams, who fell to the fifth seed with an 11-4 standing.

Quarterback Sam Darnold threw two interceptions but regrouped to deliver two scoring throws, including the second score to wideout Smith-Njigba in the extra period.
The Rams held a six-point lead at half-time before Kenneth Walker III broke free for a 55-yard touchdown run for Seattle.
Los Angeles defensive back Josh Wallace then took back Darnold's first pick for 56 yards, leading to a short touchdown by Blake Corum on the next play.
In the final stanza, a touchdown from Stafford to Puka Nacua pushed the Rams' lead to 30-14, but Rashid Shaheed provided Seattle's hope with a spectacular punt return.
Darnold then found AJ Barner in the endzone, and a converted two-point play sent the contest into an extra period.
Although Nacua raced in for his another touchdown in overtime, Smith-Njigba answered in kind to setup the game-winning conversion.
