The House Oversight Committee has released a set of roughly 70 photographs obtained from the property of late adjudicated individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.

This constitutes the third such disclosure from a cache of in excess of 95,000 photos the body has acquired from Epstein's holdings. It includes photographs of excerpts from the literary work Lolita scrawled across a woman's body, and redacted photos of women's international passports.

This disclosure comes hours before the 19 December due date for the DOJ to release each documents associated with its inquiry into Epstein.

"These photographs pose further inquiries about what exactly the DOJ has in its custody," remarked the Democratic lead of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What is in the Photos Disclosed

A number of the photographs made public on this week depict Epstein speaking with scholar and advocate Noam Chomsky aboard a personal aircraft; Bill Gates standing alongside a individual whose face is censored; Steve Bannon sitting at a desk opposite Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a evening meal.

These are the latest affluent, prominent individuals to be pictured in Epstein estate photographs published by the committee - previously published pictures also include US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as film director Woody Allen, former US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Being pictured in the photographs is does not constitute indication of any misconduct, and several of the pictured men have stated they were never implicated in Epstein's illegal activity.

In a statement accompanying the photo release, Democratic members on the US House Oversight Committee said the Epstein property holders did not offer explanatory details or timeframes for the photographs.

"Photos were chosen to provide the American people with transparency into a representative sample of the images obtained from the estate, and to give perspectives into Epstein's associates and his profoundly troubling behavior," the statement reads.

The publication also includes a number of photographs of passages from the Vladimir Nabokov literary work Lolita written in black ink across several locations of a female's body, such as her torso, feet, hip, and spine. Lolita tells the story of a adolescent who was groomed by a adult literature professor.

An example of a excerpt from the book written across a woman's torso reads, "Lolita's name: the point of the tongue making a journey of three steps down the palate to alight, at three, on the teeth".

There are also a number of photos of female passports and official papers from nations worldwide, such as Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A large portion of the data on the documents, like names and DOBs, is redacted but the House Oversight Committee indicated in a press release that the travel documents pertain to "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were engaging".

A further photo features Epstein seated at a table intimately in the company of three female figures whose faces have been censored - one has her hand on Epstein's torso under his shirt, and another is leaning to look at a adjacent device. Epstein can be seen to be aiding the third individual put on a piece of jewelry.

A further photograph released is a image of text messages from an unknown sender who says they have been sent "several females" and are asking for "$1000 per girl".

Photo Release Occurs Ahead of DOJ Due Date

The committee has thousands of images in its custody from the Epstein property, which are "at once graphic and ordinary," its press release on this week explained.

The oversight panel first legally compelled the estate of Epstein, who died in a New York prison in 2019 while facing trial on allegations of sex trafficking, in August.

The images and records the Epstein estate's representatives submitted to the body are distinct from what is largely termed "the Epstein files". That material are documents under the justice department's custody connected to its independent investigation into Epstein.

In accordance with the recently passed law, which the President signed into law in November, the DOJ has until 19 December to publish its documents. The extent of what's included in the DOJ's documents is unclear, and it's likely that much of the content will be significantly obscured, comparable to the committee's documents
