Loyal followers of Ariana Grande are demanding that a individual who jumped a fence and seized the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A viral clip reveals the individual from Australia bypassing camera operators and charging at Grande while the cast made its way down a yellow carpet surrounded by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "free after being arrested", though court documents indicated that he was scheduled to appear on the following morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Record of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram feed contains recordings of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last year.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," stated an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user remarked.

Fans Voice Worry Over the Star's Well-being

Many supporters criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the finale of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented another comment on Instagram.

Some fans also criticised security officers at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while others requested social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's content.

Response and Premiere Information

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande appeared shocked when she was grabbed by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Many of supporters had assembled in a sea of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good international launch in a Singapore mall, including several who had waited for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The movie, to be premiered on 21 November, is the follow-up of a dual adaptation of the well-known theatrical production Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely friendship between two contrasting witches.

The production itself is a derivative of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a rosé glittering gown at the event while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful film of the previous year in the UK, and earned 10 award recognitions, securing several for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
